Hello Again,
Yes, I really am trying to write my blog on a regular basis. I was quite
surprised the other day when I checked how long it had been since I wrote it
last so really must make an effort.
Today, radio and TV have been concentrating of course on the Royal Wedding.
I must say I am looking forward to it and particularly to the music.
I have also heard radio interviews today with three Pianists who were all
extremely interesting. One, spoke about how he coped with a visual
impairment before having surgery to improve his sight and the other two
spoke about various aspects of being a Solo Pianist, including practice.
One of them said they always warm up with the piece they want to play. I
couldn’t agree more! I do remember though, hearing one Pianist rehearsing
who always warmed up with various exercises. Practice habits always
interest me as I am both a Pianist and a Singer and have different attitudes
to practising for both.
This is all my blog for today but perhaps one day, someone out there will
leave a comment on what I write, that is if it is interesting enough to
anyone.
