I started this blog last year but have been a ‘Lapsed blogger’ for some time
now. However, I think it’s time I rectified this as I have read other blogs
and now have a better idea of what I’m doing with it. I also want to keep
my website up to date as it was set up to promote my singing so I hope this
will fulfil the purpose.

Speaking of Music I’m living and breathing Piano Music at the moment. A
Piano Diploma is on the horizon well to be exact it will be sometime during
the first week of December although I don’t have an exact date yet so hours
of practice are called for!

I have discovered that Bach Fugues are extremely complicated to play and
even more so when using Braille music which I have to do, being a blind
musician. However, the fugue is taking shape all is progressing reasonably
well.

For some light relief, I went to a concert in Abergavenny on Sunday
afternoon given by the Torfaen Choral Society, with orchestra and soloists
who were all absolutely wonderful. Details of this choir can be found on
their website and I have decided that they are actuallly my favourite choir
as they have a very unique and beautiful sound. I have performed as soloist
with them previously and they are wonderful to work with. Their
performances are not to be missed.

I will write more soon but must cram in a short burst of Piano practice
before bed. The Schumann Kinderschenen pieces are a wonderful set of
minature pieces. Hopefully there will be someone reading this who likes
them too. They are also part of my Diploma programme.

Anne.
