Thinking About My Singing Soprano in ‘Elijah’ – Wednesday/Thursday Morning

Well, as anyone will see, it is late again so I must try and make this a short blog so I can get plenty of sleep.

Today has been a very ordinary day, nothing much to report except that if I hadn’t had enough of listening to the wonderful CD of Mendelssohn’s ‘Elijah’ sung by Bryn Terfel and Renee Flemming, I listened to some of it again this evening but just for relaxation this time and as any singer will know that does make a difference. I hope singers will read this and will be encouraged in some way. Years ago I went to hear Bryn Terfel singing in ‘Elijah’ at St. David’s Hall, Cardiff and never in a million years would I have dreamed that I would one day sing the Soprano solo part, it just never entered my head at the time. Strange how life works out.

This is all for now, so until I write more, goodnight and sleep well anyone, perhaps a budding Soprano, who may stumble across this blog.

Anne.
