Sunday Music

Hello again,

Just thought I would blog again to say how much I enjoyed the St Woolos Players rehearsal this afternoon. If you have been following my blog in the last few days, you will know that they have a concert on 4th November, 2012 at St Woolos Cathedral, Newport, Monmouthshire. They made a lovely sound although some players were not able to attend and this did affect balance somewhat but it was still a lovely sound so I know next weekend’s performance will certainly be something to look forward to.

I have been thinking about my own singing performances today. I have one concert before Christmas. What I would really love would be to be asked to sing in a performance of Handel’s Messiah as the Soprano Soloist at sometime during the weeks before Christmas but certainly not on 15th December. I expect performances for this year have their Soprano already booked. Ah well, perhaps there is still some hope for me? I am determined to get as many performances as a sighted soloist would and I know it is hard enough for them! But this is what keeps me together and motivated. I think that if I didn’t have an involvement in Music I would just give up on life.

I hope tomorrow to be in a better frame of mind.

Now time for bed.

Good night to all musicians and blog readers out there.

Anne.
