It has been an interesting week for me. The one thing that I must write about was quite surprising. On Monday evening, I was walking through my local Supermarket car park when a complete stranger stopped me and said how much she had enjoyed my singing in ‘Elijah’ at Tabernacl Bridgend on 7th March. I really did appreciate this but also this shows that even Soprano soloists have to do the Supermarket shopping! I felt quite celebrity-like.
I will be singing at a funeral on Monday morning and although I feel glad to do it for the family concerned, I hope the next occasion I sing at afterwards will be a Wedding not a funeral. This will mean that I will have sung at two funerals and one Wedding so a few more Weddings to sing at would be appreciated. I would particularly enjoy singing at a Welsh language Wedding service.
